Re’Quavas Wray
Founder, LCMHC-A
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and the founder of The Creek Counseling. This work is personal for me. I grew up in Shoal Creek, a community where mental health was often overlooked, misunderstood, or simply out of reach. I saw firsthand what happens when people are expected to carry pain without support, when strength is valued but healing is neglected.
The Creek Counseling was built to change that. I created this space for the same kind of neighborhoods I come from. Communities that deserve access to quality, culturally competent care from someone who understands their reality, not just clinically, but personally.
I work with individuals, families, and especially boys and men who are navigating stress, grief, trauma, and the weight that comes with trying to hold everything together. My approach is real, direct, and rooted in creating a space where you do not have to perform or pretend. Just show up as you are.
This is more than a practice. It is a commitment to the people and places that raised me.
Madeline Wray
Co-Founder, LCMHC-A
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, and I create a space that doesn’t rely on you having the “right words”. I work especially well with people who are neurodivergent or who feel like traditional, logic-heavy therapy hasn’t really worked for them.
In sessions with me, you might express yourself through movement, art, play, or conversation that takes its time to unfold. I use creative and experiential approaches to help you explore emotions, patterns, and internal experiences without forcing them into rigid boxes. I pay close attention to your pace, your needs, and how your mind and body actually work, not how they’re “supposed” to.
